Welcome to the 5th Annual Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara (CSCVVSB) Hope Walk taking place at California Lutheran University on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Please help raise awareness and funds in support of CSCVVSB's services and programs. 


IMPORTANT DATES AND TIMES

WALK DATE: Saturday, June 10 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
INCENTIVES PICK-UP DATES: Tuesday, May 30, and Saturday, June 3. Please see below for details. 

EVENT DETAILS

LOCATION: CLU's William Rolland Stadium (60 W Olsen Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360). If you choose to walk on your own or if you are supporting CSCVVSB from far away, get creative! You can walk around your house, backyard, or around your neighborhood.

EVENT PARKING: Please park in the North Campus Lot. Please DO NOT PARK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.


LENGTH OF WALK: 5K throughout CLU's Campus and William Rolland Stadium. If you are joining us virtually, create a goal for yourself or your team, and walk as much as you can the same day or a different day.  There will be a victory lap for our survivors that takes place along a shorter walk route. 

ACTIVITIES: Walk, music, booths, food, kids activities, etc.  Wear your Hope Walk t-shirt & share your photos on social media. Don't forget to tag @cancersupportvvsb or email pictures to apatel@cancersupportvvsb.org.

DAY OF TIMELINE:
8-9 AM: Registration
9 AM: Program starts
9:20 AM: Warm-up
9:30 AM: Walk begins
11 AM: Lunch (provided)
11:20 AM: Closing remarks, awards ceremony, and dance party

RAIN OR SHINE: The Hope Walk will take place rain or shine. Donations are non-refundable.

PETS:  Although we love our furry friends, no pets are allowed.

HALFWAY MIXER: Join us on March 30th at the CSCVVSB office for a fun night! Meet other participants, teams, and get a chance to check out our incentive prizes.

LOGISTICS

REGISTRATION:  Registration is now open, Click Here to Register! 

INCENTIVE PICKUPS: 
All incentive items will be available for pickup at the CSCVVSB office. We will have volunteers there to assist you with receiving your items. Incentives can also be picked up at the event. 

OTHER: CSCVVSB encourages a COVID test before the event. Don't forget to wear your Hope Walk swag & share your photos on social media or email them to apatel@cancersupportvvsb.org! Please stay home if you are not feeling well.

  • Please wear a mask when picking up your items.
  • If you are not feeling well, we ask that you please send someone else in your place to pick up your items.
